The sixth annual Taste of Birmingham brought together more than 20 of the area’s finest restaurants for an evening of unique culinary delights; Guests had the opportunity to sample select dishes, wines, premium beer and partake in a silent auction as well as a raffle drawing. The event proceeds benefited The Birmingham Boys Choir. The BBC seeks talented boys in the Greater Birmingham, Alabama area to develop their skills in music theory and instills values such as discipline, integrity and teamwork.
The highlight of the evening was the awards presentation. The Taster’s Choice award was presented to Grille 29, which was given to both the best sweet and the best savory dishes. The winning plate featured a Pan seared sea scallop topped with bacon jam served over lobster mashed potatoes with a southern chow chow.
Grille 29 is pleased to win this award in our first year in the Birmingham community. Stop in and congratulate our team and ask for a sample of the winning dish!
